Not quite sure if your child is ready for Competitive Soccer?
Dragons SC developmental teams are formed of dedicated, recreational players who aren’t quite ready to make the leap to competitive soccer.
These are usually school teams or groups of friends who have grown up playing on the same team.
The difference in Dragons SC Development teams and Dragons SC Competitive teams are the leagues they play in and the cost.
The difference in Development teams and Recreation teams are the fact that these players have played together for a short or extended period of time.
Development teams play in a Select league comprised of other Select, All-Star and skilled Recreational teams. Dragons SC Developmental teams participate in one tournament per season (1 in Fall and 1 in Spring) and play at least one Winter session of soccer to continue developing their skills in the off-season.
*Playing on a DSC Developmental team will prepare your child to take the leap to competitive soccer by gradually introducing more competitive play.
*NO PLAYERS THAT HAVE PLAYED COMPETITIVE/PREMIER SOCCER IN THE PAST WILL BE ACCEPTED INTO OUR DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAM.
The same uniforms are used in Developmental and Competitive play, making the cost easier for the transition.
Participation in a Dragons SC Developmental program requires a financial commitment from parents. As always, no coaching costs, but there are always costs associated with uniforms, leagues, tournaments and training. A number of fundraisers will be conducted each season to help cover your child’s fees, you have a choice about whether to participate in them. If you choose not to, you will still be required to make your payments on the due date provided.
